  • 3 cups (360 g) all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • ½ teaspoon ground allspice

  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt

  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar

  • ½ cup (100 g) light brown sugar

  • ¾ cup (180 ml) vegetable oil

  • ½ cup (120 g) unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 cup (240 ml) plain yogurt or sour cream

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 3 cups (450 g) diced apples

  • 1½ cups (170 g) chopped pecans


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan or baking pan.

  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.

  • In another bowl, mix sugars, oil, and melted butter. Add eggs, yogurt, and vanilla.

  • Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients.

  • Fold in apples and pecans.

  • Pour batter into pan and bake for 50–60 minutes.

 

  • Cool, then drizzle with caramel glaze.

Notes

  • Use firm apples for the best texture.

  • The cake tastes even better the next day as the flavors deepen.

  • Store covered at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
